Why not use Google Analytics for this? Google Analytics is free and they have a decent custom campaign tracking feature: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1247851
There are also services like Clicky.
Another option would be to ditch Hostgator, they are not a suitable host for websites that are doing real business online, and use any of the many other hosting options that will not only allow tracking scripts but include automatic installation for scripts like Piwik (a great open-source analytics script).
