I think you are worried about the wrong things.
While there might be a handful of people that look at Alexa rankings and let that influence their purchasing decisions, I believe that to be a very rare thing, Probably less than 0.00001% of the population will do that.
I believe you can safely ignore the Alexa ranking, unless you are in some sort of niche that Alexa ranking really matters, like selling a service that is intended to boost Alexa rankings, then you had better have a decent Alexa ranking. Otherwise, forget that and focus on things that really matter, like traffic sources, sales copy, conversion rate optimization, etc.
